Lady Gaga unveils bold new era with dramatic black hair transformation and Bruno Mars collaboration: ‘Legendary Look’

She’s embracing the dark side.

Lady Gaga shocked fans with a dramatic new black hairstyle on Instagram Tuesday and announced an exciting collaboration with Bruno Mars. In a video, Gaga revealed her freshly dyed black hair while playing the piano in Mars’s “24K Magic” merch, teasing their upcoming single.

Known for her signature platinum blonde locks, Gaga also posted a photo on Thursday morning showcasing her updated look. Dressed in a leopard print coat and oversized white sunglasses, she turned heads with her striking new style.

The singer also shared a promotional image for her duet with Mars, “Die With a Smile,” set to drop at midnight EST Friday. In the retro-themed photo, Gaga sports a curly honey blonde wig and a bold outfit—a red bow-tie blouse paired with a short blue minidress—while Mars complements her look in a blue suit, red dress shirt, and cowboy hat.

Fans are already raving about her transformation. Comments like “THE DARK HAIR IS GIVING ICONIC ERA” and “Brunettega is back! ?” highlight their excitement. Some even likened her new look to Charli XCX’s style, calling it “legendary.”

The release of her new single and fresh look comes as Gaga enjoys a busy period. She performed at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics and recently hinted at her engagement to Michael Polansky during a conversation with France’s prime minister, Gabriel Attal.

As Halloween approaches, Gaga is also gearing up for her role in the upcoming film “Joker: Folie à Deux,” set to premiere this October.

On Thursday evening, Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at Bruno Mars’s concert at the Intuit Dome in LA, thrilling the crowd of 30,000 with a sensational performance of their new song “Die With a Smile.” Gaga, donning a massive blonde Dolly Parton-inspired wig, joined Mars on stage to deliver a show-stopping finale, with Jennifer Lopez among the stars dancing the night away.
