Kid Rock Teams Up with Trump to Fix Ticket Reselling Issue

Kid Rock met with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Monday evening. The two were there for the signing of an executive order aimed at stopping ticket scalping. This signing is becoming a regular event for Trump, who often signs executive orders on various issues. The new order focuses on the problem of ticket reselling and directs the Federal Trade Commission to work with the Attorney General to make sure laws are followed.

The Ticket Resale Issue and Its Impact on Concert-Goers

Kid Rock spoke out about the growing issue of ticket reselling. He wore a red, white, and blue outfit, showing his support for the cause. The musician explained how ticket resellers use bots and algorithms to buy up all the best tickets. These bots drive up the prices by a huge amount. “Anyone who has bought a concert ticket in the last decade knows it’s a big problem,” Kid Rock said. “Resellers get the tickets to the best shows and then sell them again for 400 to 500 percent more.” He also pointed out that the artists do not benefit from the extra money. Kid Rock called this a “conundrum” for fans. He believes that the new executive order is a good first step. In the future, he hopes there could be a law that limits how much resellers can mark up the prices.

A Potential Meeting with Bill Maher

After discussing the ticket reselling issue, Kid Rock and President Trump talked about a possible meeting with comedian Bill Maher. Maher has been very critical of Trump over the years, making jokes and satirical comments about the president. According to sources, the meeting could take place soon. Some even said it might happen as early as Tuesday. However, the White House and representatives for Bill Maher did not confirm the meeting.

Trump’s Thoughts on the Meeting with Maher

Trump shared his thoughts about the possible meeting on his Truth Social account. He wrote that Kid Rock had called him to ask if it was possible to meet with Bill Maher at the White House. Trump admitted that he wasn’t too excited about the idea but said he was willing to give it a try. “I didn’t like the idea much, and don’t like it much now, but thought it might be interesting,” Trump wrote. He explained that no matter what he says or does, Maher publicly criticizes him. Trump compared it to his recent speech before Congress, where he said that the Democrats refused to stand, applaud, or even smile at his words. Despite his feelings, Trump agreed to meet with Maher as a favor for his friend, Kid Rock. The meeting could include other people as well, including Dana White, president of the UFC.
