Kamala feels betrayed by Biden and is warring with everyone–report

When Kamala Harris presided over Congress to certify the electoral votes naming Donald J. Trump the 2024 winner, she adopted a composed and statesmanlike demeanor, hailed by many as a symbol of restored norms.

Left-leaning media outlets lauded her grace following a contentious race. However, Harris didn’t hold back subtle criticism, referencing the fragility of democracy in a video to supporters before fulfilling her constitutional duties.

A New Tone for the Outgoing VP

Since the election, Harris has shifted from her campaign persona of “joy” to a more stoic and distant figure. Notably, she broke with tradition by not hosting Vice President-elect J.D. Vance and his wife at the Naval Observatory, a customary gesture of goodwill between outgoing and incoming administrations. Presidential historian Kate Andersen Brower called the move a “degradation of important democratic traditions.”

Harris’s somber demeanor was further highlighted at Jimmy Carter’s funeral, where her interactions with political figures, including former presidents and first ladies, appeared strained. Notably, her team cropped Donald Trump from a photo shared on her social media, signaling lingering tensions.

Internal Strains and Falling Popularity

Reports of discord with her own team and frosty relations with the Bidens have also emerged. Insiders describe strained dynamics behind the scenes, with Harris reportedly frustrated by President Biden’s claims he could have won the 2024 election if he had run. Polls indicate her favorability has plummeted among Democrats and independents alike, with many questioning her authenticity.

What’s Next for Harris?

Despite challenges, Harris is expected to remain in the political arena, with speculation about a 2028 presidential run or a gubernatorial bid in California. However, critics argue her struggles to project sincerity may hinder future ambitions. Her ability to rebuild her image will be tested as she attends Trump’s inauguration, a moment expected to be difficult for the outgoing vice president.

As Harris transitions out of office, she faces the task of redefining her political identity in an increasingly skeptical environment.
