Secret CIA Files Resurface Amid Assassination File Release
A long-lost JFK UFO memo allegedly written by John F. Kennedy just days before his assassination has resurfaced.
The document, dated November 12, 1963, reveals JFK’s direct request for the CIA to brief him on all UFO intelligence. Now, with the release of the remaining JFK assassination files, the memo is fueling fresh speculation.
The letter, addressed to the CIA director (name redacted, but likely John McCone), stressed the importance of identifying unknown aerial objects. Kennedy feared that misidentified UFOs could escalate Cold War tensions if the Soviets mistook them for U.S. spy operations.
“When this data has been sorted out, I would like you to arrange a program of data sharing with NASA where unknowns are a factor,” the memo states.
Author William Lester claims he obtained the document via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) while researching his book A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier.
Despite the explosive nature of the memo, skepticism remains. The JFK Library in Boston has no record of such a letter in its archives.
A research technician stated: “We could not find any evidence of the Nov. 12, 1963, letter to the CIA.” Critics also point out unusual redactions and formatting issues, questioning its authenticity.
This alleged memo has reignited theories that JFK may have been assassinated for probing too deeply into government UFO secrets.
Many conspiracy theorists link it to another mysterious document—the “Burned Memo”, allegedly retrieved from CIA fires by an anonymous ex-operative. The memo ominously states:
“Lancer [JFK’s CIA codename] has made some inquiries regarding our activities, which we cannot allow.”
President Donald Trump has ordered the declassification of all remaining JFK assassination documents. Among them, a newly discovered 14,000-page FBI file could hold shocking revelations about Lee Harvey Oswald, a Cuban hitman, and even Kennedy’s alleged plan to dismantle the CIA.
With the final batch of JFK files set for release, the world may soon learn whether his UFO memo was real—or a deadly secret that cost him his life.
