Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez: Reports over $600M wedding extravaganza in Aspen – but he denies

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are preparing for a wedding celebration fit for royalty, taking over Aspen during the weekend after Christmas.

The Amazon billionaire, 60, and his fiancée, former TV news anchor Lauren Sánchez, 55, have reportedly spared no expense for their nuptials, planning a series of luxurious events estimated to cost a staggering $600 million.

But Bezos denied reports that he is marrying his fiancée the coming weekend. “This whole thing is completely false — none of this is happening,” the Amazon founder wrote on X Sunday morning.

Secretive Preparations for the Big Day

The couple has maintained tight secrecy about the event since Bezos proposed on his $500 million superyacht in May 2023. However, sources have confirmed that the wedding festivities will kick off with a private buyout of Matsuhisa, a high-end sushi hotspot in the Colorado ski town, on December 26 or 27. The grand ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, and rumors suggest the venue could be Kevin Costner’s iconic 160-acre Dunbar Ranch.

Insiders revealed that guests will be accommodated in Aspen’s most exclusive locations, including the five-star St. Regis Hotel and private mansions. Among the weekend’s highlights is a rumored mountaintop ceremony showcasing Aspen’s breathtaking winter scenery.

A Winter Wonderland Celebration

High-profile Aspen event planners say the wedding will feature western-themed welcome dinners, dazzling floral arrangements, and custom details flown in from around the world. From Parisian cakes to bespoke cowboy hats, the couple is creating a unique blend of rugged charm and extravagant luxury.

“They’ll cherry-pick their favorite things from across the globe and bring them to Aspen,” shared Janie Lemons, a wedding planner specializing in high-net-worth clients.

Lauren Sánchez recently hinted at her excitement for the event, revealing she had already chosen her wedding dress. She even confessed to using Pinterest for inspiration, like “every other bride.”

Star-Studded Guest List and Extravagant Details

Aspen locals are bracing for a parade of private jets carrying elite guests, potentially including big names like Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kris Jenner. The celebrations promise to make Aspen’s already glamorous holiday season even more dazzling.

With secrecy upheld by iron-clad NDAs, even seasoned wedding insiders are in the dark about many details. But one thing is clear: Bezos and Sánchez’s wedding is shaping up to be the society event of the year.

The couple, known for their mix of humility and opulence, might have embraced Aspen’s rugged charm, but there’s no denying the sparkle of Sánchez’s massive 30-carat pink diamond ring—a reminder of the extravagant love story that led to this monumental day.
