The dinner follows a series of high-profile meetings between Trump and tech leaders, including Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, as the president-elect assembles his administration.

Washington Post breaks tradition

The Washington Post, owned by Bezos, drew attention during the election by refusing to endorse a candidate, a departure from its history of backing Democrats.

Tech leaders seek collaboration

Bezos joins other tech leaders, including OpenAI’s Sam Altman and TikTok’s Shou Zi Chew, in engaging with Trump ahead of his inauguration.

The meeting underscores a new chapter in Trump’s interactions with Silicon Valley as he prepares to return to the White House.
