Mohammed’s father, Zakaria Zubeidi, gained recognition as a notable militant leader during the early 2000s Palestinian uprising, and he was involved in a notable prison escape in 2021. Despite his brief period of freedom, he was eventually apprehended and returned to prison shortly thereafter.
According to the Israeli military, they launched three airstrikes in Tubas specifically targeting militants who posed a threat to their soldiers.
