The new season of 90 Day Fiancé has introduced Greg Chillak, 35, who still lives at home with his mom, Lucille, in Long Island. He’s engaged to Joan Kruchov, 27, who traveled all the way from Uganda to marry him. Even though the season is just starting, there are already red flags popping up. Greg’s relationship with Greg Chillak’s mom is concerning. So is his lack of responsibility. I can’t help but wonder if Joan and Lucille are making a mistake by being so involved in Greg’s life.

Greg’s Financial Struggles Are a Red Flag

One of the biggest issues with Greg is his finances. He doesn’t have a job. In fact, he turned down a state job to stay home and support Joan emotionally. His mom, Lucille, says Greg doesn’t pay rent and only contributes by providing food for the house. Still, Greg says he’s broke. Joan, on the other hand, wants to move out and live independently. But Greg claims that doing so would drain his savings faster than he expected, causing more dependence on Greg Chillak’s mom.

This shows that Greg is not taking his responsibilities seriously. He seems comfortable with letting Greg Chillak’s mom take care of things. He’s not thinking ahead. Meanwhile, Joan has built a career for herself in Uganda. She’s independent. Greg, however, is still stuck at home, relying on Greg Chillak’s mom to help him get by. It’s a huge red flag for their relationship.

His Lacks a Plan for the Future

Greg’s financial struggles are only the start of the problem. He also has no clear plan for the future. He doesn’t seem to care about the things that Joan or his mom worry about. Most of his confessionals end with him shrugging and saying, “Let’s see what happens.” He avoids being upfront with either Joan or Lucille. It’s almost like he’s trying to dodge any real responsibility.

While it’s still early in the season, Greg’s behavior reminds me of another 90 Day Fiancé star—Colt Johnson. Like Colt, Greg doesn’t seem to have a clear direction in life. He’s not planning ahead or making any effort to improve his situation. When moving to a new country and starting a life together, not having a plan is risky. Joan has built a career and reputation in Uganda, but she’s moving to America without a solid plan. If Greg doesn’t have a steady job or the money to support them both, how will they manage? This lack of preparation makes me question their future together.

Lucille Is Enabling Greg’s Immaturity

Greg’s mom, Lucille, is always around. She helps him out whenever she can. She even has strict rules about things like water and electricity usage in their house. But by doing this, Greg Chillak’s mom is enabling Greg’s immaturity. She’s not giving him the chance to grow up. He’s not being held accountable for his actions. This is doing more harm than good.

Greg’s behavior shows he’s not ready for the responsibility that comes with marriage and starting a family. If he wants to get married, he needs to be able to provide for himself and his future family. He shouldn’t rely so heavily on his mom. Greg Chillak’s mom should step back and let Greg figure things out. He’s a grown man, and it’s time for him to start acting like it.
