New Greenland Video Fuels Trump’s Bold Takeover Campaign

A dramatic “Greenland Video” released on social media is turning heads worldwide. The clip, shared by former President Donald Trump’s team, paints a bold, cinematic picture of Greenland’s strategic importance. But critics say it’s more propaganda than patriotism.

Vance Tours While Trump Turns Up the Heat

During a recent visit to Greenland, U.S. Vice President JD Vance inspected the Pituffik Space Base. It’s a U.S. military outpost located on the massive Arctic island under Danish control. While Vance toured the base, Trump’s camp in Washington ramped up political pressure.

The Trump team also dropped the Greenland Video, a flashy, emotional film that outlines why America needs to claim Greenland. The message? America belongs in Greenland—for safety, legacy, and power.

Video Ties WWII History to Today’s Tensions

The Greenland Video starts by diving into history. It shows how Nazi Germany tried to expand into the Arctic during World War II. The film highlights how U.S. forces stepped in to defend Greenland, including a dramatic scene where a U.S. ship is sunk by a German U-boat. Thousands died in the freezing waters. Four chaplains are shown sacrificing their lives for their fellow soldiers.

More scenes from the Trump video about his push to the north.

From there, the video claims Americans helped kick the Nazis out of Greenland. Then, according to the narrator, both nations became “guardians of the top of the world.” They were now “sentinels for freedom.”

Russia and China Now Labeled as Threats

The Greenland Video doesn’t stop at the past. It shifts quickly to the present. It warns of “Russian aggression” and “Chinese expansionism.” The voice-over suggests Greenland is again under threat. This time, the enemy is not Germany—but global superpowers looking north.

The narrator calls today’s U.S.-Greenland alliance “a partnership forged in ice and strengthened by history.” Jets soar over frozen tundra. Military vehicles move across glaciers. Tension builds with every frame.

Poetry Meets Power in Final Message

In near-poetic language, the narrator declares, “It is not just history—it is our destiny.” The video ends with a bold slogan: “America stands with Greenland.” But not everyone agrees with the tone. Some critics say the final message sounds more like a warning than a show of unity.

Greenland’s new Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen was just sworn in. He’s already urging his people to “stand together in times of threat.” Meanwhile, Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called the American tactics “unacceptable pressure.”

Trump Demands Action at Any Cost

Donald Trump isn’t backing down. On Friday, he said in the Oval Office that the U.S. “must have Greenland.” He called it a matter of national security. Then came his most direct threat yet. “I will do whatever it takes,” Trump said, making it clear he no longer trusts Denmark to handle Russian or Chinese activity near Greenland.

“This is about world peace,” he added.

Greenland and Denmark Push Back

On the icy island, fear is rising. In Nuuk, Greenland’s capital, leaders say they want no part in becoming a pawn in great power politics. Denmark, which oversees Greenland’s foreign affairs, says it’s standing firm against U.S. pressure.

Still, Trump’s media push is reaching far. The Greenland Video has gone viral. And while some praise it as powerful and patriotic, others see it as a thinly veiled attempt at a land grab.

What’s clear is this: the drama is heating up in the Arctic. And the world is watching.
