Grant Ellis talks family and decision-making on The Bachelor

Grant Ellis, 31, was sure he had found his wife by the time he reached the final four women on The Bachelor. He was confident in his decision. When Us Weekly asked him about it, he said, “I was 100 percent sure. That’s exactly why I came here. I knew I would make it work.” Grant didn’t doubt his choice. He knew what he wanted, and he was determined to find it. Although the trailer shows the Bachelor struggling between his final two women, he explains it wasn’t like that. He says external factors made him pause. But he was always sure of his decision.

Bachelor’s decisive nature

He has always been decisive in his life. He’s never been afraid to make tough decisions. He says he’s always been sure of his choices, whether it’s his career or his personal life. When he was in high school, he was a star athlete. Grant Ellis had to choose which college to attend and what major to study. It wasn’t easy, but he made those decisions without hesitation. The Bachelor explains that his ability to make decisions came from dealing with difficult times in his life. His parents went through a divorce, which made him face hard choices at a young age. He learned that making decisions in tough times could lead to better outcomes in the future. Those lessons stuck with him, and now he trusts himself to make important choices.

Family is important

For Grant Ellis, meeting the families of his final four women is a big deal. The hometown dates are coming up on the March 3 episode of The Bachelor. He believes it’s crucial to get along with the family of the person you want to be with and wants to be part of the family, to fit in and feel like a unit. He knows that a relationship is more than just two people. It’s about everyone coming together. Grant understands that for a relationship to last, both partners need to be on the same page with their families. He says this is the goal for the hometown dates — to see the family dynamics and see how everything fits together. It’s important to him to be a part of that.

The Bachelor airs on ABC, Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
