Golden Globes 2024: Best Looks on the Red Carpet

Major trends started at the 81st Golden Globe Awards. There was the 50s ankle-length cocktail dress—the sheath and lavender! Plus, new hair trends emerged at the Golden Globes this year. Individuality continued to rule the red carpet, and there was a lot of cohesion among the hair choices. Bangs are back, per Taylor Swift’s ‘Kissing the Brow Bangs.’ The blunt cut (Carey Mulligan)—which some call the bob, is an outgrowth of last year’s dominant hair trend. The result? Side-swept or middle-parted blunt cuts with a mini flip to the edge (Ayo Edebiri, America Ferrera). Large glam curls were seen on Jennifer Lopez and Brie Larson, which provided a soft look. Selena Gomez and Helen Mirren went for the traditional bun, while Billie Eilish and Lily Gladstone did some exciting things with the layers, though still wearing the upswept do. Ponytails are back—hello, Natalie Portman and Rachel Brosnahan. Florence Pugh’s fluffy reverse duck tail was chic and could start a trend with women that men like Robert Downey Jr. have been rocking long before.

Men looked suave: Jon BatisteTimothee ChalametTrevor Noah, and Barry Keoghan can do no wrong.

Click through to see which is your favorite hairstyle for 2024. Do you fancy the pixie cut like Fantasia Barrino, the Jennifer Aniston casual blowout, or the Keri Russell slicked-back low bun?
