Germany increases border controls to combat illegal migration and extremism threats

Germany’s interior minister has announced the implementation of temporary controls at all land borders in response to irregular migration and to safeguard the country from potential extremist threats. Nancy Faeser disclosed at a news conference that the government has decided to extend temporary border controls to all German land boundaries.
