Evgeni Malkin’s Stanley Cup rings discovered in different locations of his home post-burglary

PITTSBURGH — The three Stanley Cup rings belonging to Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin have been located after they went missing during a break-in incident at his home.

On Thursday, Allegheny County Police reported that Malkin’s rings were found in a different area of his residence located in Sewickley Heights, a suburb situated to the northwest of Pittsburgh.

The hockey player had alerted authorities about the burglary on January 11, shortly after arriving home following a 5-0 defeat against the Ottawa Senators at the PPG Paints Arena. Although the rings have been recovered, the authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the break-in.

At 38 years of age, Malkin has become one of several high-profile athletes who have experienced similar home invasion incidents in recent months. Notably, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s house was burglarized while his team played a Monday Night Football game in Dallas back in December.

In addition, in October, homes belonging to Kansas City Chiefs players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were also the targets of burglary. Furthermore, in the NBA, Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis fell victim to a home invasion on November 2, while Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley Jr. was burglarized on September 15 during a game attended by the Minnesota Vikings.
