What a night for baseball fans! In a performance that belongs in the MLB history books, Eugenio Suárez of the Arizona Diamondbacks went absolutely wild, smashing not one, not two, not even three — but FOUR home runs on Saturday night!

Yes, you read that right. Suárez became just the 19th player in Major League Baseball history to blast four homers in a single game, joining an elite club of legends. His heroic effort, however, wasn’t quite enough as the Diamondbacks fell heartbreakingly short, losing 8-7 to the Atlanta Braves in extra innings.

“What can I say — obviously it’s awesome,” Suárez said, grinning from ear to ear. “I never thought in my life that I would be able to hit four homers in a game.”

Coming into the game, Suárez’s season had been rocky at best. He was batting a miserable .167 with just six homers and 15 RBIs. Critics were starting to whisper… but Saturday night shut them all up! After the game, he now boasts 10 home runs this season from just 19 hits.

At 33 years old, Suárez showed the world that magic moments in baseball are still very much alive. Here’s how he did it:

  • Second inning: Solo shot to start the madness.
  • Fourth inning: A monster two-run homer to keep the energy alive.
  • Sixth inning: A majestic solo bomb deep into center field.
  • Ninth inning: Facing the Braves’ closer Raisel Iglesias, Suárez tied the game with his fourth homer — the crowd at Chase Field exploded into disbelief!

The four baseballs Suárez rocketed into the Arizona night traveled a combined 1,655 feet, including a 443-foot blastfor his third dinger. His swing was pure poetry.

Even Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo was left speechless: “It’s like a fairy tale. I just was shaking my head. I couldn’t believe it. It’s one of those magical nights that are so hard to describe.”

The Braves, however, had the final say. They rallied in the 10th inning when Matt Olson scored on a wild pitch, stealing the victory and somewhat dimming Suárez’s shining moment.

“Mixed feelings right now because we didn’t win the game,” Suárez admitted humbly. “But this is baseball, that’s why this game is so special. I just want to glorify God with this for the game today. It’s a gift and I don’t take it for granted.”

Suárez’s night was the first four-homer game since J.D. Martinez — who, coincidentally, also achieved it while wearing a Diamondbacks uniform back in 2017.

A Look at Eugenio Suárez’s Journey

The Venezuelan slugger has had quite the career. Over 12 MLB seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, and now the Diamondbacks, Suárez has smashed 286 home runs.

But until Saturday, no night had been quite as magical as this one.

His journey has not been easy. This season alone, he has faced heavy criticism for his slow start. Yet, Suárez has proven once again why baseball is called “America’s Pastime” — you just never know when you’ll witness something truly historic.

The Fans’ Reaction – EUGENIO SUÁREZ makes MLB History

The 43,000+ fans at Chase Field lost their minds as Suárez launched homer after homer into the Arizona sky. Each time he connected, the roar grew louder, culminating in a near-earthquake after his fourth bomb tied the game at 7-7.

Social media lit up too, with hashtags like #SuarezMagic and #DBacksLegend trending nationwide within minutes.

What’s Next for the D-backs?

The Diamondbacks may have lost the game, but they gained something even more powerful — momentum. With Suárez heating up and showing vintage power, Arizona looks primed to make noise in the NL West.

Expect this team, and especially their newly crowned four-homer hero, to keep swinging hard and fighting back.

The Diamondbacks have the talent, the heart, and now, thanks to Eugenio Suárez, the belief that anything is possible.

EUGENIO SUÁREZ makes MLB History

Saturday night was a reminder that in baseball, one player can capture the hearts of thousands and make history. Eugenio Suárez, with his thunderous swing and infectious smile, gave MLB fans everywhere a night to remember — a night that will be replayed for years to come.

Bravo, Big Geno. Bravo.
