Epstein’s contact list fails: Big disappointment, no new surprises

The Justice Department has finally released a massive trove of documents on Jeffrey Epstein. The files include contact lists, flight logs, and evidence collected against the convicted sex offender. However, no major bombshells emerged. Instead, the documents confirmed what many already suspected—Epstein rubbed shoulders with powerful figures.

A-list names on Epstein’s contact list

Among the high-profile names found in Epstein’s contact list are rock legend Mick Jagger, pop icon Michael Jackson, and actor Alec Baldwin. Even political royalty made the list, including Ethel Kennedy, mother of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Other notable figures include former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, supermodel Naomi Campbell, and musician Courtney Love.

Hollywood and political ties exposed

Epstein’s contact book also featured Bob Weinstein, brother of disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein, billionaire David Koch, late Sen. Ted Kennedy, and actor Ralph Fiennes. Legal heavyweight Alan Dershowitz and politicians like John Kerry were also included. The Trump family appeared as well, with Ivanka and Ivana Trump’s names present, though former President Donald Trump was notably absent.

Addresses and contact info redacted

While the list of names was made public, all addresses and contact details were blacked out. Most of these names had already been linked to Epstein through previous lawsuits and leaked documents over the years.

In addition to the celebrity contacts, the DOJ released a heavily redacted list of Epstein’s masseuses. Their names were hidden, as they were considered victims. This list contained a staggering 254 names.

Flight logs and secret files

The infamous flight logs for Epstein’s private jet, the “Lolita Express,” were also included in the release. However, much of the information had been made public in the past. One section of the binder was completely blacked out, hiding the identities of Epstein’s victims.

David Rodgers, Epstein’s former pilot, signed off on multiple flights. He had already testified in court about his time flying Epstein and his associates. However, the logs did not provide any shocking new details.

Epstein’s “little black book” resurfaces

Two copies of Epstein’s infamous “little black book” had already leaked, listing 349 associates from the 1990s. One copy was even auctioned off. The recent release did little more than confirm what was already known.

No bombshells, no big reveals

A source who reviewed the documents described the release as a “disappointment” for those expecting damning evidence. Many were hoping to see more direct ties between Epstein and powerful figures, but the files did not deliver.

Before the documents were made public, 15 conservative influencers received early access. Podcaster Liz Wheeler revealed on a livestream that the release was far from explosive. “We’re all waiting for juicy stuff. And that’s not what’s in this binder,” she said.

Politicians demand more information

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) slammed the release, saying it was not what Americans had demanded. “THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR,” she tweeted. Attorney General Pam Bondi set a deadline for the FBI to provide the remaining materials by Friday.

FBI promises full transparency

FBI Director Kash Patel vowed there would be “no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned.” He assured the public that any hidden records would be uncovered and released transparently.

The infamous contact book originally surfaced in a 2009 court case. In 2015, the now-defunct site Gawker made it public. The book listed major names, including Mick Jagger, Prince Andrew, Alec Baldwin, David Koch, and Henry Kissinger.

The missing names from the 90s list

Years later, another contact list surfaced with 349 names, including 221 not found in the 2015 version. This list featured President Trump, billionaire John Catsimatidis, and Suzanne Ircha, a close friend of Melania Trump.

Other figures in Epstein’s social circle included billionaire investor Carl Icahn, Chris Cuomo’s wife Cristina Greeven, and ex-Playboy CEO Christie Hefner. Former New Republic publisher Marty Peretz was also listed. However, no one on these lists has been accused of wrongdoing in connection to Epstein.

A copy of Epstein’s 90s contact book was discovered in New York City. A woman sold it on eBay for $425. Now, the new owner, Vermont teacher Christopher Helali, is auctioning it in March. He expects it to sell for up to $50,000.

Epstein’s sweetheart deal

Epstein was convicted in 2008 for child prostitution crimes in Florida. He struck a shocking plea deal that let him serve only 13 months in jail with a cushy work-release program. The latest document dump does little to shed new light on the extent of his crimes.

With “Phase One” now public, the name suggests more documents could follow. Will future releases finally expose the full truth? The public is still waiting for real answers.
