A big drug operation in southern West Virginia has led to the arrest of two people. The authorities found drugs, guns, and money during the investigation. The operation involved several law enforcement agencies working together. The Southern Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force led the effort, along with local police. Their work has resulted in a big bust and multiple charges.

“Down the Road” operation seized large amount of drugs and weapons

The operation, called “Down the Road,” resulted in the seizure of a wide range of illegal items. Police took two bricks of fentanyl, which is a powerful drug. They also found 105 grams of marijuana and more than five kilograms of fentanyl. In addition, officers seized 19 grams of crack cocaine and 960 grams of methamphetamine. The operation also led to the confiscation of three firearms and three vehicles.

Two people arrested on drug charges

Authorities arrested two men in connection with the drug operation. Authorities arrested Antonio Padgett, 26, and Cordero Hayes, 34. Both men face several serious charges. Padgett faces nine counts of drug conspiracy. Hayes faces nine counts of drug conspiracy and nine counts of delivery of a controlled substance. These charges connect to their involvement in distributing drugs.

Authorities are holding Padgett and Hayes in the Southwestern Regional Jail. Padgett’s bond is set at $150,000 cash-only. Hayes’ bond is set at $500,000. Authorities believe that the investigation is not over and more arrests could happen soon.
