Douglas Coleman III of Bears taken off field on stretcher after tackle in game against Chiefs

Bears cornerback Douglas Coleman III was injured during a preseason game against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. He was immobilized on a stretcher and taken from the field on a cart after tackling Chiefs’ Cornell Powell at the start of the second half. Coleman had his head up during the tackle but fell to the ground and remained motionless as trainers and doctors attended to him. His facemask was removed, and he was placed on a backboard before being taken out of the stadium. Both teams’ players showed concern, with players from the Bears even crossing the field as Coleman was being driven away.
It was a concerning moment for both teams and highlights the physical risks that come with playing in the NFL preseason.
