Disney starts a new offensive in its parks with “Lion King” and “Monster Inc”

Disney will invest more than 20 Billion Dollars in the expansion of its beloved Entertainment Parks.

The company, which is under pressure due to increased ticket prices, much fewer visitors and a very weak share price, announce its plans at the D23 Expo 2024 yesterday with 12,000 fans and business partners in attendance.

There will be two major expansions at Magic Kingdom park: One will be a villains-themed adventure land, the other a Frontierland inspired by “Cars”.  In the nearby Animal Kingdom there will be a new park focused on Dinosaurs.

In California, Disney will add three new parks based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Avatar franchise and the Pixar film “Coco” In Paris there will the first ride based on “Lion King” being developed for the Disney Paris Resort.
