The authorities in San Juan County, Utah, mentioned on Monday that they had successfully retrieved the body of a local man who had fallen overboard from a houseboat on Lake Powell in Wetherill Canyon.
The National Park Service officials were alerted around 3 a.m. on Sunday about an individual who had gone missing after plunging over 20 feet (6 meters) from an upper section of a privately-owned houseboat.
Following a search effort, the body of Jackson Roy Law, aged 41, was recovered from the water approximately 10 hours later by the dive team from Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
Park rangers present at the scene confirmed Law’s passing.
Wetherill Canyon, situated on Lake Powell, is about 40 nautical miles away from the Glen Canyon Dam in San Juan County, Utah.
