‘Commentators Hold ‘Epstein Docs’ After AG Bondi’s Pledge’

Washington D.C. — A group of conservative political pundits was observed at the White House on Thursday carrying binders labeled “The Epstein Files.” This occurred shortly after Attorney General Pam Bondi pledged to release documents pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier notorious for his abuse of underage girls.

The contents of these binders, which have not been made public by the Justice Department, remain uncertain. Although labeled as “declassified,” it is unclear if the information within was ever deemed classified. Among those with the binders was Rogan O’Handley, known in political circles as DC Draino.

Pam Bondi mentioned on Fox News that these documents would include flight logs along with “a lot of names,” while it remains to be seen if they will reveal new details. The Epstein saga, rich with connections to celebrities and filled with intrigue, has captivated the public’s interest and media for years. Court documents, criminal proceedings, and various Freedom of Information Act requests have led to the release of thousands of pages over this period.

Earlier in 2024, a court unlocked a large collection of documents, collected as evidence in a lawsuit initiated by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre. Many included interviews and police report transcripts that had already been publicly available. Epstein, who abused minors repeatedly over more than ten years, took his own life in 2019 while confined in a Manhattan jail, anticipating trial.

The high-profile nature of the case is linked to Epstein and his former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell’s associations with royals, influential politicians, and billionaires. Maxwell, linked through her lineage to the late British media mogul Robert Maxwell, who was the owner of the New York Daily News, was convicted in December 2021 for her role in procuring young girls for Epstein to exploit from 1994 to 2004. She is currently serving a 20-year sentence.
