Chris Martin and fiancée Dakota Johnson call off engagement – but Dakota Johnson denies split, claims: “We Are Still Together!”

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson Call Off Engagement: Split Confirmed Amid Speculation

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have ended their engagement, as revealed by the Daily Mail. The Coldplay frontman, who began his relationship with Dakota in 2017 and got engaged a few years later, has reportedly accepted that the relationship is over and believes it’s best to move on.

Dakota, 34, was recently seen walking her dog in Malibu without her emerald engagement ring, a stark contrast to her previous appearances at Coldplay concerts. She is currently far from Martin, 47, who is on tour with Coldplay in Munich.

The couple had previously faced rumors of a split in 2019 over disagreements about starting a family but reconciled shortly after. However, despite a brief reunion in June, they have now decided to part ways for good.

A source close to the couple revealed that they made several attempts to salvage their relationship but ultimately concluded that their busy schedules and differing priorities made it untenable. “They’ll always care for each other, but it’s clear that moving on is the best option,” the source said.

Dakota and Chris were last seen together in February, and their engagement was publicly confirmed in March this year. The actress has denied any permanent separation, but it appears their engagement has indeed ended.

Martin, who previously split from Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014, was seen in various stages of his relationship with Dakota, including a holiday in Majorca and various public appearances together. Despite their split, Dakota and Chris have shared many fond memories, but their relationship is no longer able to withstand the pressures of their separate lives.
