Taylor Swift Super Bowl
Donald Trump didn’t hold back after leaving the 2025 Super Bowl early. As the Chiefs were being outplayed by the Eagles, he took to social media to troll pop sensation Taylor Swift.
Trump couldn’t resist mocking Swift, who was booed by the crowd when shown on the big screen. He shared a video showing the applause he received compared to the boos directed at the pop star. His post captioned: “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed.“
The social media dig was just the beginning. Trump later posted another jibe, saying, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” This comment came after Swift’s Kansas City Chiefs were struggling against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Trump and Swift have been in conflict for years. Swift supported Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the past elections, which led to Trump publicly criticizing her. In September, Trump posted on his platform, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” after Swift announced her vote for Harris in the upcoming election.
After halftime, Trump left the Super Bowl early, which wasn’t unexpected. He had been predicting a Chiefs win, but as the game took a turn, he seemed to lose hope. His departure came shortly after a photo with Mahomes’ family in his suite.
Before the game, Trump had backed the Chiefs to win, even praising their quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He called Mahomes “a fantastic quarterback” and said he had the quarterback’s support for his 2024 presidential campaign. The former president said, “I have to go with Kansas City” due to Mahomes’ impressive track record.
Despite his earlier jabs, Trump made history as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl. He walked onto the field with his daughter Ivanka and son Eric, greeting players and local police. The crowd cheered as he posed for photos with families of victims from the New Year’s Eve ISIS attack.
Trump’s attendance at the Super Bowl was as a Chiefs fan. He mingled with NFL officials and even greeted Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones. This came after the Eagles refused to attend a visit to the White House after their 2018 Super Bowl win, which had further soured Trump’s feelings toward the team.
Before leaving the Super Bowl, Trump couldn’t resist taking one more shot at Taylor Swift, using his social media platform to continue the trolling. With both the Chiefs’ loss and the booing of Swift, it was a rough night for the pop star.
Trump’s social media antics added to the drama of the evening, mixing political rivalry with sports in a way only he can. Whether you love him or hate him, one thing is clear—Trump isn’t afraid to make his voice heard, especially when it comes to Taylor Swift.
