Branson Robinson scores 3-yard go-ahead touchdown as Georgia comes from behind to beat Kentucky 13-12

Georgia defeated Kentucky 13-12 in a hard-fought battle on Saturday night. The top-ranked Bulldogs had to overcome a slow start and showed resilience in the face of a tough challenge from the Wildcats.

Branson Robinson scored a crucial 3-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter to give Georgia the lead. The Bulldogs struggled on both offense and defense, falling behind 9-3 in the third quarter. However, a field goal by Peyton Woodring and a strong drive led by Trevor Etienne helped turn the game in Georgia’s favor.

Despite Kentucky’s efforts, including a school-record 55-yard field goal by Alex Raynor, Georgia managed to hold on for the win. The Bulldogs’ defense stepped up, holding Kentucky to field goals and standing strong in crucial moments.

Quarterback Carson Beck and the Georgia offense faced challenges but managed to make key plays when it mattered. The Bulldogs’ ability to capitalize on red-zone opportunities and avoid sacks proved vital in securing the victory.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart praised his team’s resilience and determination, emphasizing the importance of delivering consistent efforts throughout the game. The win marked Georgia’s 15th consecutive victory over Kentucky.

Looking ahead, Georgia will face a tough test against No. 4 Alabama in a highly anticipated rematch of last season’s SEC championship game. Kentucky will host Ohio before resuming SEC play, aiming to bounce back from their loss to Georgia and improve their performance in upcoming games.
