Book by Donald Trump Justifies 2018 Putin Encounter, Mocks Opponents, and Warns of Jail for Facebook’s Zuckerberg

In his upcoming book titled “Save America,” former President Donald Trump reflects on his 2018 summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, describing it as “a GREAT meeting.” Trump defends his handling of the summit, where he faced criticism for giving credence to Putin’s denials of interfering in the 2020 presidential election, contrary to U.S. intelligence reports. The book is a compilation of photos and recollections from Trump’s time in office, including interactions with world leaders like Kim Jong Un and Angela Merkel, as well as sporting legends such as Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

Scheduled for release on Sept. 3, “Save America” also delves into Trump’s near-assassination experience during a rally, where he writes about feeling protected by God despite the bloodshed. The book features a confrontational tone towards Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, with Trump threatening legal action against him if he engages in activities similar to his substantial donations to election offices in 2020. Trump accuses Zuckerberg of funding initiatives that allegedly contributed to his election loss, warning of consequences for any illegal actions in the future.

The book documents Trump’s interactions with various figures, including a photo with former congresswoman Liz Cheney, who criticized his conduct on Jan. 6. Trump’s narrative praises authoritarians like Xi Jinping and Putin while critiquing traditional U.S. allies like NATO and the European Union. He highlights his amicable relationship with Putin, noting their understanding during his presidency despite facing backlash, particularly regarding the Helsinki summit and investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Throughout the book, Trump asserts his strong stance on national and international issues, showcasing his interpersonal dynamics with influential individuals and recounting significant events from his time in office. Despite facing controversies and opposition, Trump’s book aims to provide his perspective on key moments during his presidency and his interactions with world leaders and prominent personalities.
