Blake Lively Drama Deepens as Artist Says She Took Power from Director

The legal firestorm between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni just took another dramatic turn.

On Sunday, 60 Minutes Australia aired a new segment featuring It Ends With Us storyboard artist Talia Spencer. Her comments added fresh fuel to the already explosive feud between the actress and the director.

Artist Says Lively Undermined Baldoni’s Vision

Talia Spencer, who worked directly on the production, accused Lively of trying to overpower Baldoni on set.

“I think Blake mistook kindness for weakness,” she told 60 Minutes. Spencer suggested Lively attempted to take creative control of the project from Baldoni.

When asked if Lively succeeded, Spencer responded, “Probably, yeah.” She added that Baldoni’s original vision was “massively compromised.”

Lively, 37, filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024. She accused him of sexual harassment and leading a retaliatory smear campaign.

Baldoni, 41, denied the allegations and countersued a month later. His legal response included claims of civil extortion and defamation. He also named Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist in his countersuit.

The case is expected to head to trial in March 2026.

Two Versions of the Film Spark Dispute

Baldoni’s lawsuit claims two versions of It Ends With Us were developed — one directed by him, and another backed by Lively.

He alleges that Lively’s cut was ultimately chosen by Sony and became the final version.

Lively, however, claims Baldoni went off-script, adding graphic scenes without approval. One such scene allegedly included a forced on-camera orgasm. When she objected, he reportedly defended the choice as being “through the female gaze.”

Lively’s Influence on the Film Was Significant

Despite their fallout, Baldoni once praised Lively’s deep involvement.

In a 2024 interview, he said, “There wasn’t a part of this production that [Lively] didn’t touch.”

She contributed her own wardrobe for scenes, curated parts of the soundtrack, and reportedly collaborated with Ryan Reynolds on key dialogue.

Both Sides Accuse the Other of Control Issues

Lively’s legal team pushed back against the idea she hijacked the production.

They say Sony asked her to oversee the final cut. They also claim multiple cast members had negative experiences with Baldoni, not Lively.

Meanwhile, Baldoni maintains she derailed his direction and altered the film’s course.

Crew Member Expresses Sadness Over Fallout

Spencer, who supported Baldoni during the interview, said the legal mess has overshadowed the film’s success.

“It’s sad,” she admitted. “I hope everyone acknowledges their role and moves on, but we don’t live in that world.”

She closed by saying she hopes the truth comes out and the “innocent parties are proven innocent.”

A Long Road Ahead

With the trial still nearly a year away, more revelations are likely.

Insiders continue to speak out, and fans are divided over who to believe. The courtroom will eventually decide, but for now, the Blake Lively drama keeps growing.
