Ben Affleck’s Brentwood home gets surprise FBI visit

Ben Affleck got an unexpected knock on his door Sunday as FBI agents and LA County Sheriff’s deputies showed up at his $20.5 million Brentwood estate.

The 52-year-old actor and filmmaker’s home, located near the fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades, became the focus of curiosity when law enforcement officers were spotted waiting outside his gated property.

FBI Presence Sparks Speculation

Witnesses reported that the agents appeared to use the property’s call box and even shouted over the gate, but no one opened the door. One agent sported a short-sleeve FBI-logo shirt, while another wore body armor bearing the same insignia. They were joined by deputies in branded windbreakers and utility vests, but after several minutes of waiting, the group departed.

It remains unclear if Affleck was home during the visit, and his representative has yet to comment.

Brentwood on Edge Amid Fires

Affleck’s residence has been under threat as the Palisades fire, only 13% contained as of Sunday evening, continues to devastate nearby areas. Last week, Affleck was seen rushing to ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home in Brentwood to assist in evacuating her and their children. Garner later revealed she lost a friend to the fire, sharing on MSNBC, “They didn’t get out on time.”

Despite the ongoing danger, Affleck’s property has so far escaped damage. The actor-turned-director was previously photographed looking visibly distressed as flames loomed near his neighborhood.

Family First Amid Crisis

Affleck, who shares three children with Garner—Violet, 19, Fin, 16, and Sam, 12—has focused on family during this chaotic time. Over the weekend, he was spotted embracing his eldest daughter Violet in a touching moment outside their home.

No Sundance for Affleck

In other news, sources revealed Affleck has no plans to attend the upcoming Sundance Film Festival, where Jennifer Lopez’s remake of Kiss of the Spider Woman is set to premiere. Affleck, who served as a producer on the project, is reportedly stepping back to let Lopez shine, just as he did for her recent film Unstoppable.

As the fires force over 180,000 Los Angeles residents to evacuate, including many celebrities, Affleck’s close call underscores the indiscriminate destruction caused by the inferno. Meanwhile, questions remain about the nature of the FBI’s visit to his doorstep.
