Authorities searching for individuals who stole and crashed NYC subway train

Police in New York City are on the lookout for a man and woman who took control of an empty subway train for a short joyride before crashing it and fleeing the scene. The incident occurred at the Briarwood subway station in Queens around midnight on September 12. Security footage captured the pair, with the woman wearing all pink attire, including a pink shower cap, and the man in a blue tank top.
Authorities released surveillance images on Tuesday, seeking information from the public to identify the suspects. The duo managed to start the unoccupied train and drove it into another stationary train before abandoning the scene. The extent of the damage resulting from the reckless act is yet to be determined, as no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
