Arsenal nets from a corner once more but settles for a 1-1 draw against Fulham, affecting their Premier League title pursuit.

Arsenal faced a challenging encounter at Fulham, settling for a 1-1 draw on Sunday, which resulted in the team dropping two crucial points in their pursuit of Premier League leaders, Liverpool.

William Saliba, who had previously netted from a corner in Arsenal’s recent victory over Manchester United, continued his scoring form by finding the net in the 52nd minute against Fulham, ensuring his side left with a share of the spoils. Fulham took the lead early in the match with Raul Jimenez scoring in the 11th minute.

Although Arsenal was able to narrow the gap to Liverpool to six points, the draw was undoubtedly viewed as a missed opportunity, especially with Liverpool having no match during this round due to the postponement of their Merseyside derby against Everton caused by adverse weather conditions.

Chelsea had the opportunity to cut their gap to Liverpool to four points if they succeeded in their London derby against Tottenham later on Sunday.

In a tense finish, Bukayo Saka appeared to secure a late winner for Arsenal in the 88th minute, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside rule affecting Gabriel Martinelli.

In other fixtures on the same day, late drama unfolded in the two preceding matches. Jamie Vardy made a significant impact for Leicester, scoring in the 86th minute and assisting another goal during the first minute of stoppage time, leading to a comeback that resulted in a 2-2 draw against Brighton in Ruud van Nistelrooy’s second match as manager. His first match had ended with a 3-1 win over West Ham.

Bournemouth also demonstrated late-game resilience, scoring in the 87th minute and then again in the fifth minute of stoppage time through Dango Ouattara to secure a 2-1 victory over Ipswich, who remain within the relegation zone with just a single win to their name this season.
