Arnie as Santa brings cheers to fans in holiday movie ‘The Man with the Bag’

Arnold Schwarzenegger, known for his multifaceted career as a bodybuilder, politician, and movie star, is taking on a new title: Santa Claus. The former California governor is stepping into the boots of the beloved Christmas gift-giver in his latest holiday movie, The Man with the Bag.

“Santa Claus is coming to town!” Schwarzenegger announced enthusiastically on Instagram. “I can’t wait to share all of this Christmas cheer with each and every one of you.”

A Festive Transformation

The iconic Terminator star shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set in New York City, posing alongside his costar, Alan Ritchson. In the image, Schwarzenegger sports a shaggy white beard, a red wool coat, and a festive Christmas sweater, fully embracing the spirit of the season.

Directed by Adam Shankman, The Man with the Bag offers a fresh twist on Santa’s story. According to the plot summary, Santa enlists the help of a former thief from his naughty list to retrieve his stolen magic bag, promising a mix of adventure, humor, and holiday magic.

A Return to Holiday Movies

Schwarzenegger is no stranger to spreading Christmas cheer on the big screen. In 1996, he delighted audiences in the holiday comedy Jingle All the Way, playing a determined father willing to go to hilarious extremes to secure a popular toy for his son.

First Leading Role in Years

The Man with the Bag marks Schwarzenegger’s return to a major feature film role after a four-year hiatus. His last appearance was in 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate. Fans of the star and holiday movies alike are eagerly anticipating his take on Santa Claus in this heartwarming festive tale.

With Schwarzenegger’s larger-than-life charisma, The Man with the Bag promises to deliver a holiday treat for audiences of all ages
