Alleged victim allowed to remain anonymous

Judge Analisa Torres ruled that the plaintiff accusing Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of rape can remain anonymous for the time being.

Allegations date back to 2000

The plaintiff claims she was raped at an after-show party during the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City when she was a teenager.

Judge sides with the alleged victim

Torres criticized the behavior of Jay-Z’s lawyer, describing repeated motions as wasteful and inappropriate.

Legal tactics under scrutiny

The judge emphasized that the court will not rush proceedings simply because Jay-Z’s lawyer demands it.
