After an 18-year break, Paris Hilton makes a comeback in the music scene with her album ‘Infinite Icon,’ aiming to revive pop music

Nearly twenty years ago, Paris Hilton made her musical debut with the release of her self-titled album “Paris” in 2006. The album, known for its lively pop tunes and epitomizing her vibrant and extravagant lifestyle, featured hits like “Stars Are Blind.” Despite her busy schedule over the years, including the release of a memoir, a documentary, and an upcoming show called “Paris and Nicole: The Encore,” Paris has continued to dabble in music, transitioning into a DJ role and now gearing up for the release of her second album, “Infinite Icon.”

In a recent interview over Zoom, Paris expressed her enduring passion for music and her intention to rejuvenate pop music with her new album. Unlike her debut album, which captured her ‘Party Girl’ phase, “Infinite Icon” delves deeper into her personal growth and experiences, offering a more introspective look into her life and journey. The album features tracks like “ADHD,” which portrays the diagnosis as a strength, and “Legacy,” a tribute to her family and supporters delivered as an upbeat electro-pop anthem revamped for modern audiences.

The lead single, “I’m Free,” a collaboration with Rina Sawayama, celebrates independence and holds special significance for Paris, drawing from her challenging experiences at Provo Canyon School. The album, executive produced by Sia, came to fruition following a performance alongside Miley Cyrus, where Sia commended Paris’s potential as a pop star and encouraged their collaboration. Paris enlisted a talented team of female artists, including Megan Trainor, Megan Thee Stallion, and Maria Becerra, embodying her mission to empower women through music.

Reflecting on the album’s creation, Paris emphasized her desire for “Infinite Icon” to serve as a source of empowerment and vitality, resonating with diverse audiences and encouraging listeners to embrace their individuality unapologetically. Through this album, Paris aims to deliver anthems for women, the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone seeking music that ignites a sense of empowerment and self-expression.
