ABC-Interviewer George Stephanopoulos caught by TMZ camera saying:”I don’t think Joe Biden can serve for more years”

He gained widespread fame last week when he conducted the first interview with President Joe Biden following the disastrous TV debate with Donald Trump. Sitting face to face with the aging president, he observed Biden closely both during and backstage after the interview.

Yesterday, ABC interviewer George Stephanopoulos was filmed by a TMZ team while chatting with a viewer on the streets of New York. When asked about his opinion on Joe Biden after the interview, Stephanopoulos responded candidly, with the TMZ camera capturing his words: “I don’t think that Joe Biden can serve another four years as American president!”

This brief statement ignited a political firestorm. Journalists, politicians, and voters alike joined the debate, many agreeing that Stephanopoulos, having interviewed and interacted with Biden for nearly two hours, was in a unique position to offer such an assessment.

However, Stephanopoulos quickly walked back his comments. “That was an offhand remark made on the street, not a serious evaluation. I don’t see myself in a position to judge that—it’s not my job,” he clarified.
