Following the Buffalo Bills’ victory over the Miami Dolphins in the final regular-season game at Hard Rock Stadium, a 30-year-old Bills fan, Dylan Brody Isaacs, was fatally shot during a confrontation near the stadium, according to South Florida police. As Isaacs and his friends were heading back to their vehicle after the game on Sunday night, they became involved in an altercation with the driver of another vehicle a few blocks from the stadium, as stated in a news release by Miami Gardens police.
During the altercation, the driver brandished a firearm and fired shots at Isaacs, resulting in his death at the scene, according to police reports. The assailant fled in an older model Honda Accord, which was later located in Palm Beach County. As part of the ongoing investigation, the vehicle was seized. Detectives have identified and interviewed a suspect, but the individual’s name has not been immediately disclosed.
A GoFundMe page has been initiated, raising nearly $90,000 as of Wednesday, to cover funeral expenses for Isaacs and the transportation of his body to Six Nations, the largest First Nation reserve in Canada. Isaacs, a resident of Hollywood, Florida, according to his Facebook page, lost his life in the tragic incident that occurred after the football game.
