Kim Thanks French Officials

Kim Kardashian says sheโ€™s โ€œgratefulโ€ to French authorities following the convictions of the men who tied her up and robbed her in a Paris hotel room back in 2016. In a statement, she called the ordeal โ€œthe most terrifying experience of my life,โ€ adding that it left a lasting impact on her and her family.

Although the courtโ€™s decision has brought closure, Kardashian made it clear the trauma still lingers. โ€œWhile Iโ€™ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability,โ€ she said.

Kardashianโ€™s legal teamโ€”Michael Rhodes, Lรฉonor Hennerick, and Jonathan Mattoutโ€”issued their own statement, applauding Kim for bravely confronting the people responsible. โ€œShe appreciates the courtโ€™s decision,โ€ they said, adding she now hopes to put the chapter behind her.

Kim also reaffirmed her commitment to promoting a fair justice system, noting that this case has fueled her passion for criminal justice reform.

Convictions But No Closure On The Jewelry

Eight of the ten people on trial were found guilty, including alleged mastermind Aomar โ€œOld Omarโ€ Ait Kedache. He was sentenced to eight years, with five suspended. Due to time already served, he wonโ€™t spend more time in prison.

Several others will also avoid more jail time for the same reason. Still, the courtโ€™s verdict brings some resolution to the years-long investigation.

Despite the convictions, most of Kardashianโ€™s stolen jewelry remains unrecovered. Only one necklace was found, discovered on the street and returned the next day.

A Violent Flashback To 2016

Kardashian was alone in her Paris hotel room in October 2016 when two men posing as police officers burst in. They zip-tied her hands, locked her in the bathroom, and ran off with millions in jewelry.

She testified during the trial that she feared being raped and killed. In the end, the robbers took only her jewels before fleeing into the night.

Nine men and one woman stood trial. Four faced 10-year sentences; the others faced six to eight.

Moving On With A New Mission

While the trialโ€™s outcome helps close a dark chapter, Kim says she will keep using her voice for those who have none. Sheโ€™s turning trauma into advocacy, continuing her push for reform in the justice system.

For Kardashian, this final ruling marks the end of one battleโ€”and the beginning of another.
