Fake Doctor Busted After Fatal Butt Surgery in Queens

Key Points: Fake Doctor Queens

  • Unlicensed doctor Felipe Foronda charged with manslaughter
  • Maria Penaloza died after illegal butt implant removal
  • Procedure done in Astoria apartment living room
  • Foronda fled to JFK but was arrested before takeoff
  • Used lidocaine without proper supervision or license
  • Family calls Foronda a murderer and demands justice
  • Prosecutors say he performed similar ops “hundreds” of times

Illegal Procedure Ends in Tragedy

A Queens woman is dead, and a fake doctor is facing serious charges. Maria Penaloza, 31, a mother of two, died after an illegal cosmetic surgery went wrong. Prosecutors say Felipe Hoyos Foronda, 37, attempted to remove her butt implants in his Astoria apartment.

Foronda allegedly injected lidocaine during the procedure, causing Penaloza to slur her words and then fall unconscious. He told police, “I injected her in the ass,” and admitted she stopped responding shortly after.

Victim Suffers Cardiac Arrest

After Penaloza passed out, Foronda panicked. Instead of calling 911, he tried to clean up the makeshift operating room. He later booked a flight to Florida, with plans to flee to Colombia.

However, cops caught him at JFK Airport as he stood in line at Starbucks. They hauled him back to Queens, where he now faces charges including manslaughter, assault, and unauthorized practice of a profession.

Family Devastated by Loss

Relatives of the victim are demanding justice. Her mother called Foronda an “assassin” and said, “He’s a danger to society. This was premeditated.”

Her sister Lucy added, “The family is paying the consequences, and we’re waiting for him to suffer the full weight of the law.”

A Deadly Setup in a Living Room

According to prosecutors, Penaloza entered Foronda’s apartment expecting a routine procedure. But the so-called doctor had no medical license. He admitted he performed these operations “hundreds of times” by word of mouth.

Penaloza suffered cardiac arrest and went two hours without a pulse before being transferred to Mount Sinai in Astoria. Doctors put her on life support, but it was too late. She died days later.

Crime Scene Cleanup and Attempted Escape

Police searched Foronda’s car after his arrest. Inside, they found syringes, gloves, and an empty bottle of lidocaine. Prosecutors said it looked like he removed them from the crime scene to hide evidence.

“I panicked, I went straight to the airport,” Foronda told detectives. “I booked the flight while I was driving.”

Community Calls for Accountability

Foronda’s actions have shocked the community. He is accused of playing doctor and taking lives into his own hands.

Family members say Penaloza had simply wanted to correct a previous surgery but instead found herself in a life-threatening situation.

Her niece, Valentina, said, “We want justice. This was a murder.”

Court Case Begins

Foronda was arraigned Monday on a grand jury indictment. He faces second-degree manslaughter and other felony charges. If convicted, he could spend years behind bars.

His arrest highlights the dangers of underground cosmetic procedures. The case has sparked outrage across New York and renewed calls for crackdowns on illegal medical operations.

Maria Penaloza leaves behind two young children and a grieving family. The community is watching as justice unfolds in Queens court.
