Florida Kidnapper Tries To Abduct Mother And Children

A Florida kidnapper sparked chaos outside a Jacksonville DMV when he tried to abduct a woman and her two young children. The terrifying incident unfolded on March 12 at the Department of Motor Vehicles office on North Main Street.

Witnesses saw the suspect, 26-year-old Yanni Human, attempting to drive off in an SUV while the woman desperately tried to rescue her children from the back seat. According to police, the Florida kidnapper dragged the mother and one of the children across the parking lot during his escape attempt.

Good Samaritans Rush In To Stop Florida Kidnapper

In a heroic act, more than a dozen bystanders immediately sprang into action. The brave Good Samaritans managed to free the woman and her children from the moving SUV, stopping the Florida kidnapper before serious harm could occur.

After rescuing the victims, the quick-thinking witnesses provided police with a detailed description of Human and his vehicle, including the license plate number.

Police Capture Florida Kidnapper Hours Later

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office used the tips and surveillance footage to track down Yanni Human later that day at a nearby shopping center. Officers arrested the Florida kidnapper without further incident.

Human now faces serious felony charges, including child abuse, false imprisonment, battery, marijuana possession, and resisting an officer without violence.

Community Hails Heroes For Saving Family

Authorities praised the bystanders for their life-saving actions. “This situation could have ended in tragedy,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a statement. “We are grateful for the quick action and bravery of the Good Samaritans who stepped up.”

While the names of the rescuers have not been released, the Jacksonville community is celebrating them as heroes for stopping the Florida kidnapper and protecting the vulnerable victims.
