President Donald Trump received thunderous cheers and a standing ovation when he entered the Kaseya Center in Miami for UFC 314 on Saturday night. The Florida crowd waved red MAGA hats and reached out to shake his hand as he made his way to his cageside seat.

Trump stayed for hours, soaking in the energy. “It says we’re doing a good job,” he told reporters later aboard Air Force One. “If we weren’t, we’d get the opposite.”

The Trump UFC connection has always been strong, but this latest appearance sent a clear message: he remains a favorite with fans of the sport.

Back in Office, Back Ringside

Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has wasted no time reentering the spotlight. From launching a sweeping government reform plan with Elon Musk to ramping up tariffs, his early presidency has sparked both praise and criticism.

But inside the UFC arena, the focus was on the fight—and the fans loved him. “Every one of them came up at the end, and they were great,” Trump said. “They’re all warriors—modern-day warriors.”

Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, joined him at the event. Her review? “Awesome.”

Star Power at Cageside

Trump wasn’t alone in the front row. He shared the spotlight with UFC boss Dana White, podcast host Joe Rogan, and billionaire Elon Musk. Cameras captured the moment Trump and Rogan embraced just before the fights began.

Other high-profile guests included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, FBI Director Kash Patel, and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Also present was Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, further showing how Trump’s inner circle showed up for the action.

This marked Trump’s first UFC event since retaking the presidency and followed recent appearances at the Super Bowl, Daytona 500, and a LIV Golf tournament at his Miami club.

Volkanovski Dominates as Trump Watches On

The president looked on as Australian featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski extended his title streak to 10 straight wins. He defeated Brazil’s Diego Lopes in a unanimous decision that had the crowd roaring late into the night.

After his victory, fighter Dominick Reyes made sure to acknowledge Trump before snapping a photo with him cage-side.

UFC and Trump’s Political Brand

Trump has long aligned himself with UFC, using the sport to connect with young, male voters. His repeated appearances have strengthened his image as a no-nonsense leader who shares common ground with everyday sports fans.

He’s built a close friendship with Dana White over the years, one that continues to benefit both sides. The visual of Trump, Musk, and Rogan together at the event instantly lit up social media.

And with campaign season heating up, moments like these may prove just as important as rallies and debates.

More Than Just a Night at the Fights

Though critics continue to question Trump’s policy choices, especially regarding tariffs and foreign conflicts, none of that seemed to matter Saturday night. In that arena, the crowd made their feelings clear.

Trump left the octagon to chants and applause, clearly energized by the experience.

“I always enjoy these events,” he said. “And the energy—there’s nothing like it.”
