This DiCaprio Ex: The Instagram Influencer From Hell!

Key Points Summary:

  • Instagram influencer Katiuscia โ€œKatโ€ Torres lured multiple women from Brazil to the U.S. under false promises of coaching and success.
  • Torres presented herself online as a spiritual life coach, claiming supernatural powers and selling $150 one-on-one coaching sessions.
  • Behind her Instagram image, she forced followers into unpaid labor, stripping, and prostitution, mainly in Texas.

A Brazilian Instagram influencer and ex of Leonardo DiCaprio who built a million-strong following with spiritual advice and luxury posts has been exposed as a human trafficker who enslaved women. Katiuscia โ€œKatโ€ Torres, 35, is now serving an 8-year prison sentence for forcing followers into prostitution, writes the Daily Mail.

From Rags to Riches to Ruin

Kat crafted the perfect rags-to-riches storyโ€”growing up poor in Brazil before becoming a swimsuit model who partied with Leonardo DiCaprio. She later rebranded as a spiritual life coach.

But behind the glossy Instagram posts, Kat was manipulating vulnerable women. โ€œShe claimed to have psychic powers and compared herself to Jesus,โ€ said one victim in a new BBC documentary.

The Cult-Like Trap

Kat lured women to live with her in Texas, promising paid work. Instead, they became unpaid servantsโ€”some forced into strip clubs and prostitution.

โ€œI had to shower with her because she couldnโ€™t stand silence,โ€ said former live-in assistant Ana. โ€œI was a slave.โ€

Kat controlled every dollar they earned, even setting $3,000/day sex work quotas. When families raised alarms, she fled with victimsโ€”threatening to โ€œkick and screamโ€ if they talked to police.

The Fall of a โ€œGuruโ€

After an FBI investigation, Kat was deported to Brazil and convicted of human trafficking in 2023. Shockingly, she still denies wrongdoing:

โ€œI have all the talentsโ€ฆ I donโ€™t regret anything.โ€

At least 20 women have since come forward with similar horror stories. Many now suffer PTSDโ€”one even attempted suicide.

Why This Matters:

  • Shows dangers of influencer manipulation
  • Exposes how โ€œspiritual coachingโ€ can mask abuse
  • Highlights need for social media accountability
