Missing Oregon toddler: Search efforts enter seventh day

The search for 2-year-old Dane Paulsen, who went missing from his home in Siletz, Oregon, has now entered its seventh day. Despite days of searching, there has been no sign of the young boy. Authorities continue to work hard, hoping to find him and bring him home safely.

Search efforts for missing boy focus on Siletz River after new clues

The Lincoln County Sheriffโ€™s Office has shifted their search to the nearby Siletz River. This decision came after investigators found clues that suggest Dane might have been near the river before he went missing. The search area has expanded as more evidence is gathered. Deputies are using various resources, including drones, divers, and boats, in an effort to find him.

Last seen playing near his home on March 1st

Dane was reported missing on March 1 after he was seen playing in the yard of his home. His parents live near milepost 21 on Siletz River Highway. However, at the time of his disappearance, Dane was no longer in their line of sight. He had wandered away, and no one was able to see where he went. The search began quickly after he went missing.

Description of Dane at time of disappearance

At the time he went missing, Dane was wearing a grey fuzzy hoodie with ears. He also wore blue and white shoes and black pants. He has brown hair and green eyes. This description has been shared in the hopes that someone might recognize him or know where he could be.

Multiple law enforcement agencies join the search for missing boy

Several law enforcement agencies have joined the search efforts. The Clackamas, Polk, and Lane County sheriffโ€™s offices are working together. Oregon State Police are also helping with the search. The combined efforts of these agencies are crucial in trying to find Dane. They are using all available resources to cover more ground in the search.

On Tuesday, Sgt. Jason Spano of the Lincoln County Sheriffโ€™s Office confirmed that the search has now focused mainly on the Siletz River. The sheriffโ€™s office believes the evidence shows that Dane was near the riverโ€™s edge before he went missing. Deputies are continuing to search the area with drones, divers, and K9s, hoping to find any signs of the missing toddler.

Authorities ask for public help

The Lincoln County Sheriffโ€™s Office is asking for the publicโ€™s help. Anyone with helpful information is urged to call 541-265-0669. The authorities are hoping that the community can offer more clues that could lead to finding Dane, who has gone missing.
