The Golden Globes were already a big fail, nobody event noticed that there were SAG Awards and Peopleโs choice Awards. Usually there prior happening award shows were the key of who will win the golden man statue.
How come no one is interested in it anymore? There are many reasons.
People are sick and tired of stars sharing their political opinion
I think the most obvious were the last elections. People are still mad and annoyed about the show that happened around the last presidential elections. Also one of the reasons why Kamala Harris lost. Celebrities telling us how life is. Really? What a joke. And I have to say, also for me personally, I lost a lot of respect for many artists. Despite them having talent in their genre, but that over shadows the stupidity they came across when speaking out, about something they have no clue.
Too much politics at an evening that is supposed to be about entertainment turns many viewers away to watch the 4 hour long show on TV.
Letโs take Los Angeles, most of these people live here. They are telling me how great everything is. Seriously?! I know people who live in great areas, and still got stabbed in brought daylight while walking their dog. Getting spat at in Beverly Hills, around lunch time while walking with her kids. And you celebrity trying to tell me everything is ok. Are you nuts?
Sure, you walk around with bodyguards, live in highly secured mansions, your kids donโt go to public schools, donโt ride the school bus. You donโt have to go grocery shopping and make sure you stay within your budget. And trust me currently the budget of an average family is slim and with the prices of gas and groceries, many donโt know how to juggle it much longer.
So in a nutshell, people are sick and tired of celebrities telling people that everything is ok and if you voted for Trump you are pretty much a monster. But hey, the majority of the US voted for Trump and therefore the majority of people are not interested in listening any longer.
Award shows are just Trump Bashing events
Another reason is that we all know these awards shows are just a bashing party of Trump and Co. Again, most people voted for Trump and besides that, it has no class to bash your own President. Not very patriotic if I might say.
And now they are already starting before the big event. Social Media posts, warning about the dangers of our President whenever they get some mic in their hands. Enough is enough.
Even many Actors stay home and canโt do it anymore
Even their own community is divided. Trump supporters are not either invited or donโt show up. Because isnโt is where peers celebrate their accomplishments with each other, but no, your political view decides if you are Oscar worthy or not. How dumb and pathetic is that.
Homage to LA could save the show
The only positive part will be that the night is dedicated to Los Angeles. The Wildfires could be saving the Oscars from totally sinking into a black hole of lost viewers.
On the other hand everybody has done it already, all the Awards used it to get needed attention and PR. So we will see if it works.
I honestly donโt feel like watching it, but in case someone is pulling a Will Smith again, I need to, so I can report it to you right away. ๐
After Parties โ No Shows โ Musk
Also, I am curious about the behind the scenes. The After Parties. Will all the tech billionaires show up. After attending the inauguration in the first row, are the welcome at all the parties? This, we will wait and see. Musk will for sure be a now show at the Vanity Fair party, he usually attends it every year. Bezos and fiance, I highly doubt it as well.
