PRINCESS ANNE, Md. — South Carolina State powered past Maryland Eastern Shore with an 81-68 victory on Monday night, with Omar Croskey leading the charge.
Croskey’s stellar performance, compiling 20 points and 12 rebounds, was instrumental for the Bulldogs, who now boast a record of 15-12 overall and 8-3 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Drayton Jones contributed significantly with his 18 points and six rebounds. Additionally, Mitchel Taylor was effective, making 3 out of 4 shots from the field and completing 4 out of 6 free throws to tally a total of 12 points. This win extends their impressive streak to six consecutive victories.
On the other side, Maryland Eastern Shore, struggling with a 4-22 record overall and 0-10 in conference play, was spearheaded by Ketron Shaw’s commendable efforts. Shaw secured 21 points, along with seven assists and two steals, demonstrating his playmaking ability. Evan Johnson also chipped in with 10 points, while Cardell Bailey added nine points alongside three steals. The defeat marks an ongoing challenging phase for the Hawks, as it is their 11th consecutive loss.
