McCray’s Dominant Play Lifts Jacksonville Past EKU 59-55

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In a competitive showdown on Monday night, Robert McCray shone brightly, amassing 15 points combined with 10 rebounds to propel Jacksonville to a narrow victory over Eastern Kentucky, with a final score of 59-55.

    Zach Bell contributed significantly to the Dolphins’ triumph by scoring 12 points and achieving four steals, enhancing Jacksonville’s overall record to 17-12 and 11-6 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Kendall Munson also added to the team’s efforts with eight points.

    On the opposing side, Eastern Kentucky, which now stands at 17-13 and 11-6 respectively, was driven by Devontae Blanton who notched 16 points, five assists, and managed two steals. Supporting him, Jackson Holt added 12 points, while Mayar Wol contributed eight points to the Colonels’ tally.

    With the season nearing its conclusion, Jacksonville’s win brings them to level standings with Eastern Kentucky, tying them for the fourth spot in the conference just before the regular season’s final game.
