IRVINE, Calif. — In a thrilling matchup on Saturday, the UC Irvine Anteaters emerged victorious over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors with a score of 71-55. Myles Che was a standout performer for the Anteaters, contributing 17 points while also dishing out five assists, further solidifying his role in the team’s success this season.

UC Irvine, now boasting an impressive record of 18 wins and 3 losses overall, and 8 wins against just 1 loss in the Big West Conference, saw additional scoring support from Justin Hohn who netted 13 points and matched Che’s tally with five assists. Kyle Evans had a perfect shooting performance, converting all six of his attempts from the field to finish the game with 12 points.

On the other side, the Rainbow Warriors, who now hold a record of 12-8 overall and 4-5 within the conference, were paced by Akira Jacobs, who led his team with 12 points. Marcus Greene contributed eight points while Tanner Christensen managed to chip in with seven points and recorded six rebounds as well.
