SAN ANTONIO — Kwo Agwa was a standout performer for UT Rio Grande Valley, scoring a remarkable 26 points in their victory over Incarnate Word, winning 85-78 on Monday evening.

Agwa also contributed defensively, recording four blocks for the Vaqueros, who improved their record to 12-7 overall and 4-4 in the Southland Conference. Cliff Davis was another key player, adding 16 points to the scoreboard, hitting 7 of his 10 attempts, including 2 out of 5 from beyond the arc, and securing three steals. Howard Fleming Jr. also made a significant impact, finishing the game with 16 points and achieving a perfect 7 for 7 shooting performance.

On the other side, Davion Bailey led the scoring for the Cardinals with 28 points along with two steals. Jalin Anderson supported with 18 points and distributed six assists, while Dylan Hayman contributed 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Incarnate Word, whose record now stands at 9-10 and 2-6 in the conference.
