Lake Charles, Louisiana — In an impressive display of skill, the McNeese Cowboys defeated the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks 79-59 on Monday evening, extending their winning streak to nine games.

Leading the charge for the Cowboys was Christian Shumate, who contributed 16 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks to the team’s commanding performance. Sincere Parker also made a significant impact with 15 points and three steals. DJ Richards added to the score tally with 14 points, showcasing his shooting accuracy by going three for six from the field and perfect from the charity stripe, hitting all six of his free throws while sinking two three-pointers out of five attempts.

On the other side of the court, the Lumberjacks were spearheaded by Nana Antwi-Boasiako, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Chrishawn Christmas supported the team with 11 points, alongside six rebounds and three steals. Kyle Hayman chipped in with 10 points, five assists, and two steals, but it wasn’t enough to overcome McNeese’s strong performance.
