WICHITA, Kan. — In a thrilling matchup on Saturday evening, C.J. Walker excelled by scoring 28 points, while RJ Felton sank a crucial 3-pointer just as time expired, enabling East Carolina to secure a 75-72 win over Wichita State.

Walker displayed an impressive shooting performance, hitting 10 out of 17 attempts, including a perfect 3 for 3 from beyond the arc, and converting 5 of 6 free throws for the Pirates, now with a season record of 10-9 and a conference mark of 2-4 in the American Athletic Conference. Joran Riley contributed 16 points, shooting 7 for 14 from the field, and demonstrating strong defensive capabilities with five steals. Felton also played a key role, scoring 11 points, which included shooting 3 for 10 overall and 3 for 6 from three-point distance.

On the other side, Corey Washington was the standout for the Shockers, notching a double-double with 19 points and 18 rebounds, along with four steals. Xavier Bell supported the effort with 18 points, while Justin Hill rounded out the scoring with 16 points, alongside six assists and two steals.
