Keeshawn Kellman delivered an impressive performance as he scored 21 points in Florida Gulf Coast’s 60-47 victory over Queens on Saturday.
In addition to his scoring, Kellman contributed five rebounds and three blocks, helping the Eagles improve their record to 10-9 overall and 5-1 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Jevin Muniz was another key player for Florida Gulf Coast, adding 16 points while showcasing his shooting skills by making five of his ten attempts from the field. He particularly excelled from beyond the arc, sinking three out of five three-point shots, and was perfect from the free-throw line with three successful attempts. Muniz also grabbed nine rebounds in the match.
Zavian McLean chipped in by scoring 10 points on five of eight shooting.
On the other side, Chris Ashby led the scoring for the Royals with 14 points, while teammate Leo Colimerio contributed 12 points. The defeat concluded a five-game winning streak for Queens, bringing their season record to 12-7 and also leaving them with an identical conference record of 5-1.
The game was marked by strong performances from both teams but ultimately showcased the Eagles’ ability to secure the victory and bolster their standings in the conference.
