In a notable college basketball matchup on Saturday, Reed Bailey played a pivotal role in helping the Davidson Wildcats secure a 74-64 victory against the Fordham Rams, showcasing his scoring ability with 23 points.
Alongside his scoring, Bailey contributed significantly on the boards with six rebounds, reinforcing his presence both offensively and defensively. Davidson finished the game with an overall record of 12-4 and a conference record of 2-1 in the Atlantic 10.
Connor Kochera also made his mark, scoring 20 points and proving his efficiency by connecting on 8 of his 14 shooting attempts. He demonstrated his three-point shooting skills, hitting 2 of 3 from beyond the arc, and maintained a perfect free-throw record, going 2 for 2 from the line. Kochera additionally grabbed six rebounds, contributing well in multiple facets of the game.

The Wildcats established their dominance early, taking the lead within the first few minutes and holding onto it throughout the game. They ended the first half firmly ahead with a score of 36-20, largely due to Kochera’s strong performance. Despite being outscored by Fordham in the second half, Davidson managed to keep their lead intact, with Bailey scoring a team-high of 10 points in the final period.
Looking ahead, both teams will return to action on Wednesday, with Davidson set to travel to La Salle while Fordham prepares to host UMass.
