NORTHRIDGE, Calif.
— In an impressive performance, Bent Leuchten scored 17 points to lead UC Irvine to a 77-67 victory over CSU Northridge on Thursday evening.
Along with his scoring, Leuchten secured 12 rebounds for the Anteaters, who now hold a record of 14 wins and 2 losses, remaining undefeated in the Big West Conference with a 4-0 record.
Justin Hohn contributed significantly with 16 points, five assists, and three steals, while Myles Che added 15 points, shooting 3 for 9 from the field, including hitting three of six attempts from beyond the arc, and he was perfect on free throws, going 6 for 6.
For the Matadors, who are now 11-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play, Scotty Washington was the top scorer with 19 points, along with three steals.
Marcus Adams Jr. chipped in with 11 points, and Mahmoud Fofana was also notable, finishing the game with 10 points, 13 rebounds, and three steals.
Looking ahead, both teams will be back in action on Saturday. UC Irvine is set to compete against UCSD, while CSU Northridge will travel to face CSU Bakersfield.
