Tyson Degenhart delivered an impressive performance, scoring 21 points as Boise State overpowered UNLV with a final score of 81-59 on Tuesday evening.
Degenhart also made a mark on the boards with 11 rebounds contributing to the Broncos’ record of 12-4 overall and 4-1 in the Mountain West Conference. Alvaro Cardenas Torre supported the team with 13 points, shooting 6 of 11 from the field and making 1 of 5 from three-point range, while dishing out nine assists. Javan Buchanan rounded out the scoring with 12 points, showcasing efficiency by hitting 3 of 4 from the floor and sinking all five of his free-throw attempts.
On the other side, Jailen Bedford paced the Rebels with 11 points and three steals, while Dedan Thomas Jr. contributed 10 points along with four assists, and Jaden Henley also chipped in 10 points for UNLV, which now holds a record of 9-6 overall and 3-1 in their conference.
Boise State took control of the game early on, gaining the lead just two minutes into the first half and never looking back. Degenhart was pivotal during this stretch, netting nine points in the first half, which helped the Broncos to a substantial 43-24 advantage at halftime. The team then continued to build on their lead, pushing it to 52-26 in the second half, driven by an impressive 16-2 scoring run. Degenhart again led the charge after the break, adding another 12 points as Boise State capped off the dominant victory.
